okay so this is why i was late today...
so this morning i woke up like at 6:30,
and i was REALLY tiredd..
so i just laid in my bed staring at the ceiling.
then i dont really remember this part,
but it must have happened.
i fell asleepy:]
then when i woke up
& finally looked at the clock,
it was 8:10!!!
i was like omg![in my head;]
and i was too lazt to get upp...
soooooo like 5 min
later my dad was like yazmin!lets goooo!
& i was like im not ready!he had to be at work
so he said okay im leaving!
&i was like but im not ready!
he said go with your mom!
and i was like
okaaaaayyy.wtv.
so then my mom was like hurry up!
& i was like im stiiiill not ready..
so theen it was like 8:45 and and
my mom said im taking your bro and sis to school
and i was like
wtv.
so theeeeen
my mom calls at like 9:20.
and guess what she said.
are you at school?
guess what i said?
no.
then she was like why not?
and i was like i dont have a ride!
she was like oh yea!
then she said weeeeeeeeelllll..
im at the store right now
but ill be there soon.
i was like okaaay.
so when she got home it was like
10:00 approximatly.

then my mom got home&& i had to
leave.then we had to take the the long wayy
to school.
&&i needed pens sooo we stopped and

Interview for Immigration Project
So who interviewed is vageesha.
She immigrated from Sri Lanka.
So here is my interview with her.
Q:how was your personal experience with immigration?
A:very difficult we went through a lot.
Q:where did you immigrate from?
A:Sri Lanka
Q:What would you do if you could help and/or change immigration in America?
A:I would make the process easier. There would be less paperwork, not as many long lines.
Q:How was your immigration experience?
A:It was hard.I think they need to make it easier for people.They even have stacks of paperwork for little kids.And they ask so many Questions!
Q:Why do you think people immigrate?
A:They come here to get more money for their families,to make their dreams come true, to finally own a house of their own, and to get a better education.
Q:How do you feel about immigration?
A:It is good for the person immigrating,but,it makes life harder here in America.It makes more people poor.
Q:Do you think illegal immigrants should have any rights?
A:yes,have some rights.Not all though.They should NOT be able to get a drivers license.They SHOULD be able to go to the doctors office, and to school.
Q:How would you feel if there was no border?
A:SCARED!In my eyes no border=BAD.It could be dangerous.It would change America for the worse.
Q:What do you feel about illegal immigrants being deported?
A:Its sad.They should at least be able to take something with them.Its sad but if you think about it, they shouldn't be here anyways.Its sad, but needed.
Q:Do you think the government should take more action, or less action on illegal immigration?
A:They need to take more action.A little bit of cleaning up.they need to solve some unsolved problems.
Q:What problems do they need to solve?
A:The border patrol needs to care more. So does the government.They need to help the illegal immigrants be legal.
Q:How would you feel if YOU were the illegal immigrant?
A:That would be scary.Because i wouldn't want to get deported.I would feel uncomfortable and i would be money-lacking.
Q:Would you have the guts to immigrate illegally?
A:NO!It would have to be for a really good reason.I would feel like i would be here just to get a better life.
Q:Why do you think people immigrate here illegally?
A:Because of the long process and it takes a lot of time and money.
so what i have beem reading is braking through,
and it is so amazing to me how us americains
take so much for granted. i just finished reading chapter
6 and so far this book has been really good.
what i think is really cool about francisco and roberto is
that they are like regular teenagers that sometimes just
want to have some fun and dance and listen to music.
also i think that it was really cool for them to go to
work all by them selves and provide for their family.
